The Crookston Police Department is in the process of implementing an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) or drone program. Per Minnesota Statute 626.19, the Crookston Police Department is seeking public comment prior to implementation of the UAS program and for final policy review.
The Crookston Police Department draft policy: Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) is available for review (see link below). Anyone wishing to comment on the implementation of the UAS program or policy review should do so by mail or electronically by using the email and mailing address listed below.
There will also be an opportunity for in-person public comment on April 21st, 2025, at 5:30pm in the council chambers at the City Hall building located at 124 North Broadway, Crookston, MN 56716.
