Crookston Pirate Track finish middle of the pack at Lions meet in Warren

The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls track and field teams competed in the Lions meet in Warren on Friday.
The Pirate girls finished 5th out of 13 teams, highlighted by Ashlyn Bailey, who won the 200 meters and finished 2nd in the 100 meters.
The Pirate boys finished 7th out of 12 teams, highlighted by the 4×100 and 4×200 relay teams, each finishing 2nd in their respective races.
West Marshall girls won the meet with 172 points, and East Grand Forks boys won the meet with 177.75 points.

GIRLS –
The Pirate girls finished 5th out of 13 teams with 54 points. The Pirates were led by Ashlyn Bailey, who won the 200 meters with a time of 26.84 seconds. Bailey also finished 2nd in the 100 meters with a time of 12.94 seconds, and was not the only 2nd place finish, as Chloe Boll finished 2nd in the pole vault with a 9′ jump. Boll had a great day, also finishing 3rd in the triple jump as well. Maddie Harbott also had a 3rd place finish in the 3200 meters, joining the list of Pirate placers, alongside Nora Groven who finished 5th in the pole vault, and both the 4×200 and 4×400 relay teams, who placed 7th. Lastly, Madilyn Abrams and Grace Boll tied for 7th in the high jump with 4′ 4″.

BOYS –
The Pirate boys finished 7th out of 12 teams with 39 points. The team was lead by the 4×100 (Cade Wisk, Gavin Reitmeier, Masen Lessard, Aaron Gosse) and 4×200 (Erik Pruneda, Gavin Reitmeier, Masen Lessard, Aaron Gosse) relay teams, who each finished 2nd in their respective races. Along with that, Makoti Weber finished 3rd in the pole vault with a jump of 11′ 6″, and Aaron Gosse finished 5th in the 100 meters with a time of 11.94 seconds. Masen Lessard also got 5th in the long jump, and Chris Goodrich rounded out a good day for the Pirates with an 8th place finish in the 1600 meters, with a time of 5:32.8.
