Washington School hosted its Annual Family Picnic for ECFE and School Readiness Families to celebrate the year. A few changes were made due to the excessive wind and heat. Amazingly, the Washington Gym was a comfortable picnic spot for families. Outdoor activities included water tables in the shade for a cooling measure. Approximately 200 people were in attendance!
The Crookston Firefighter’s Association donated money for the purchase of two bicycles and each classroom collected items for a themed gift basket for a raffle drawing. The Washington School Staff is grateful for the many ways families contributed to the success of the event; donating items, purchasing food and raffle tickets, and mostly by attending to enjoy time together.
