Kendall Qualls announces his campaign for Governor of Minnesota

Kendall Qualls, U.S. Army veteran and business executive, has officially announced his campaign for Governor of Minnesota. A living example of the American Dream, Qualls grew up in dire poverty in Harlem, NYC, and a trailer park in Oklahoma, worked full-time delivering pizzas to pay for college, served as an Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, and later earned his MBA from the University of Michigan. Qualls is a proven leader leading innovative startups, private sector businesses and non-profits, and has spent his life walking the walk when it comes to strong conservative principles.

“I don’t need to tell you that Minnesota is at a crossroads,” Kendall Qualls said in a statement. “Tim Walz took us further down the road of lost jobs, fleeing companies, rising crime and cratering education. Now, he’s spending more time outside the state on a vanity tour than he is trying to move Minnesota forward. That’s not leadership. I’m the only candidate who can help Minnesota live up to its potential. If we are going to fix the budget Tim Walz broke, we need a proven leader with real world business experience. If we are going to take back our streets and our classrooms, we need a candidate with a conservative backbone and law and order credentials.

Qualls added,I grew up in the slums of Harlem and a trailer park in Oklahoma. I didn’t escape a world of poverty, crime, and drugs by wallowing in pity and blaming other people for my problems. That’s what Tim Walz is selling and had I bought it, I would still be poor, uneducated, and living in poverty. The real cost of Walz’s failed leadership is a Minnesota without a hopeful future. Too many Minnesotans have lost faith in the promise of America. I know that we are NOT going to be the generation that lost America. Instead, we are going to be the generation that saved it, restored it, and passed it on to the next generation. I’m running for Governor to save Minnesota.”

Unlike in the pre-Trump era, Republicans’ working-class message is resonating with every-day Minnesotans, allowing rural counties to run up big margins that, with the right statewide candidate, can offset deficits in Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, and Johnson counties. Kendall Qualls is the only candidate who can WIN statewide in 2026.
