He enhances the quality of his community by being directly involved in community affairs and activities. He acts as a credible role model professionally and personally not only to the Crookston community, but to other health professionals and medical students. His impact on the standard of care in our area has been immeasurable. I can safely say that he stands out among his colleagues!”

“Dr. Kanten is the best doctor I’ve ever been to. Came in on his day off to sit with me and my husband in the ER when I miscarried. Spent extra time with us that day and followed up through the next few weeks. Was always available when I had questions. Very kind and compassionate. “

“I switched doctors after my first daughter was born. I felt like my first doctor would have to ask me the same questions every time I was in, like she would forget who I was. Dr. Kanten remembers not only me, but my family as well. He actually cares about you and how you feel about your care. He always asks if you have any questions. He is very thorough and never makes you feel rushed!”
