The organizers of the Community-wide Lemonade stands thank the community for their outstanding support last week. A thank you letter is below.
A Thank You Letter to the Crookston Pool Community
Thank you to so many people for their support of the Community Wide Lemonade Stands this past Thursday, August 7. We are excited to report that the fundraiser brought in over $4,800, that has been gifted to Fin & Fit Crookston. This money will go towards their efforts to support the Crookston Community Pool.
First and foremost, we need to give the biggest thanks to the children in our community who ran 14 lemonade stands throughout the extremely hot and humid day and their parents/families who supported these stands both fiscally and in time and effort. We know this fundraising event would not have been possible without this wonderful group of kids and their families.
We want to thank Fin & Fit Crookston for giving us the platform to support the pool. Without their ongoing efforts over the past few years, we understand the status of our pool would look much different than what we have today.
There were some local organizations and businesses who made our lemonade stands possible to include Leblanc Realty, Ace Hardware, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Wesley United Methodist Church.
We also would be remiss not to mention KROX Radio and their willingness to use their platform to promote our event to the community.
We want to thank Crookston Parks & Recreation Department for sponsoring the well-attended free open swim on Friday in which we were able to celebrate the success of our efforts, and Amanda Abrahamson of the Crookston Community Pool and her staff for providing a safe and fun environment for community recreation.
Finally, we want to thank you, the community of Crookston, for coming together to support our youth and the pool. While it was always our intention to meet a financial goal of fundraising, we saw throughout the day another much more intrinsic goal being met. Seeing our community having fun, giving back, and working towards a common purpose was truly the highlight of our day. We are grateful to be part of a forward-thinking community that steps up and bands together for the betterment of the whole.
Truly & Sincerely, thank you!
