The Crookston Farmers’ Market celebrated MN Farmers’ Market Week by honoring the sponsors of their Power of Produce (PoP) Program and treating their market visitors to a short program, entertainment, and a light meal. Crookston Mayor Dale Stainbrook read Governor Walz’s proclamation for MN Farmers’ Market Week, and all the sponsors of the PoP program were introduced and thanked for their contributions to the program’s success and the market’s success. The Power of Produce Program promotes better nutrition by providing vouchers to youth and seniors to purchase fruits and vegetables at the farmers’ market.
The Crookston Farmers Market will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m on Saturday, August 16 at the Downtown Square. The rest of the season, the Farmers Market will be open Thursday’s from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Downtown Square, with the exception of the final Farmers Market of the season, which will be on Saturday, October, 4.
