The Crookston City Council will have a busy night on Monday. Four meetings will be held at the City Hall Council Chambers starting at 5:15 p.m.
The first meeting will be a special meeting at 5:15 to appoint Wendy Ault to fill the vacant At-Large Council member seat.
At 5:30 p.m., the regular City Council meeting will begin. There will be two public information announcements. The first presentation will be a mayoral proclamation to declare August 21 as Wildflower Garden Caregivers Appreciation Day, and the second presentation is regarding solar on the Public Building Program from the Clean Energy Resource team (CERTS).
The consent agenda includes approving the City Council meeting minutes from August 4, approving bills and disbursements of $550,765.82, and a $111 donation from Polk County Social Services to the Crookston Community Pool.
The regular agenda includes two items. The first agenda item is the approval of Amendment Number 2 to the MnDOT state project for Highway 2 Crookston ADA retrofit, and discussion regarding the pickleball courts.
There will be a Crookston Ways and Means Committee meeting after the Crookston City Council meeting. The lone item on the agenda is to interview Bishop Jensen and Joseph Shostell for the City Council Ward 1 seat vacancy.
The fourth and final meeting of the night will be a City Council Budget Workshop. The agenda includes three items: a presentation from AE2S regarding CIP options and discussions of the Building Official and IT budgets.
