The Crookston Pirate Marching Band performed at the Minnesota State Fair this past weekend. The students left Crookston at 6:00am and performed during the 2:00 pm parade. There were five other high school bands marching in the parade. The Pirates performed “A Patriotic Salute”, “Seven Nation Army”, “Louie, Louie” and a drum cadence.
“The students performed very well and the crowd enjoyed their performance. The parade was about a mile long and wrapped around some main parts of the state fair,” said Crookston High School Band Director Manny Green. “Students also had a few hours to eat some fair food and enjoy the fair.”
During the trip, junior, Addison Schiller marched and was also a part of the FFA Foundation Telethon. Schiller represented Crookston and Region 1 FFA.
