Grand Forks shooting suspect arrested in Fargo

On August 31, 2025, at approximately 4:30 am, several 911 calls were received reporting gunshots in the area of the 500 block of 4th Ave N. in Grand Forks. Responding officers arrived in the area and located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Altru Hospital by ambulance for treatment, the extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Witnesses reported possibly seeing a dark-colored sport utility vehicle leaving the area, but this cannot be confirmed now.

The Police Department would ask anyone who lives in this area to check any security cameras they may have in their homes for any footage that may assist in the investigation. Additionally, anyone who may have any direct information related to this investigation is asked to please contact the Police Department.

The victim in this case has been identified as 27-year-old East Grand Forks, MN resident Antonio Delon Locke. In relation to this incident, members of the Grand Police Department, along with members of the Fargo Police Department, located and arrested 28-year-old Grand Forks, ND resident De’angelo Cortez Brent within the city of Fargo, ND. Brent has been charged with attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Terrorizing, Reckless Endangerment, and Criminal Mischief.
