SPORTS FEEVER – September 18, 2025

SPORTS FEEVER by Chris Fee of KROX Radio – chrisjfee@yahoo.com

SPORTS……
Week 1 – The Vikings suck…..one hour later, the Vikings are awesome. KOC and JJ are amazing. What a game. This is why we love sports, but also hate being Vikings fans.
Week 2 – The Vikings suck….three hours later….the Vikings still suck. We found out Chicago isn’t any good and the Packers look pretty dang good. Only two weeks in and there is a lot of time, but things aren’t looking good for the Vikes.

Speaking of sucking……The Minnesota Twins ownership cut their four-person pro scouting department. What else can the Pohlad’s do to ruin the Twins????

North Dakota State men’s golf and Rylin Petry (Fertile-Beltrami grad) claimed tournament victories on Tuesday in the season-opening Metropolis Intercollegiate at Metropolis Country Club.

Petry (69-70-72 – 211) picked up his first career collegiate win, as he defeated Alejandro Formosa of Columbia by one shot in the individual competition. Petry entered the day tied for the tournament lead and fired a 72 over the final 18 holes to lead the way for the Bison on the day and also hold off Formosa by one shot, as well as KC Nikel (Siena) and Elias Weidmann (St. John’s) by two shots.

Petry carded one birdie in the final round and nine overall for the event, which led the Bison. Petry also had 35 pars over three rounds.

Head coach Dr. Ekren Miller also picked up his first win as Bison head coach, in his coaching debut with NDSU, as the Bison (+27) claimed the top spot in the team competition. Miller becomes the fourth Bison men’s golf head coach, and first in the Division I era, to win in their debut and the first since Matt Johnson in 2001.

NDSU entered the final round in second and finished tied with Richmond (+27) at the top after 54 holes, but the Bison claimed team title honors by winning the tiebreaker over Richmond. Siena (+35), who led after day one, took third overall in the 15-team field.

Tuesday’s win is the first season-opening tournament win for NDSU since claiming the Omaha Invitational in September of 2017. It is also the first win for the Bison since last October when NDSU claimed the Monterrey Collegiate Classic.

JOKES

A man received the following text from his neighbor:

I am so sorry Bob. I’ve been riddled with guilt and I have to confess. I have been tapping your wife, day and night when you’re not around. In fact, more than you. I’m not getting any at home, but that’s no excuse. I can no longer live with the guilt and I hope you will accept my sincerest apology with my promise that it won’t happen again.

The man, anguished and betrayed, went into his bedroom, and has a long drawn out fight with his wife about her infidelity.

A few moments later, a second text came in:

Correction: I meant “wifi”, not “wife”.

Two bats are going for their midnight feed. After an hour or so, one bat gets tired of looking and goes home with no blood.

The other bat comes home with blood dripping from its mouth. The first bat says enviously, “Where did you get all that blood from?”

The second bat replies, “Follow me. I’ll show you.”

After awhile the second bat leads them to a cave. He says, “You see that wall over there?”

The hungry bat excitedly says, “Yes!”

Other bat says, “I didn’t.”

A man returns from the doctor and tells his wife that the doctor has told him he has only 24 hours to live. Given this prognosis, the man asks his wife for sex.

Naturally, she agrees, and they make love. About six hours later, the husband goes to his wife and says, “Honey, you know I now have only 18 hours to live.

Could we please do it one more time?” Of course, the wife agrees, and they do it again.

Later, as the man gets into bed, he looks at his watch and realizes that he now has only 8 hours left. He touches his wife shoulder, and asks, “Honey, please…just one more time before die.” She says, “Of course, Dear,” and they make love for the third time.

After this session, the wife rolls over and falls asleep.

The man, however, worried about his impending death, tosses and turns, until he’s down to 4 more hours. He taps his wife, who rouses. “Honey, I have only 4 more hours. Do you think we could…”

At this point the wife sits up and says,”Listen, I have to get up in the morning. You don’t!”

A trucker came into a truck stop cafe and placed his order. He said, “I want three flat tires, a pair of headlights, and a pair of running boards.”

The brand-new blonde waitress, not wanting to appear stupid, went to the kitchen and said to the cook, “This guy out there just ordered three flat tires, a pair of headlights, and a pair of running boards. What does he think this place is … an auto parts store?”

“No,” the cook said. “Three flat tires means three pancakes, a pair of headlights is two eggs sunny side up, and running boards are two slices of crisp bacon.”

“Oh, OK!” said the blonde. She thought about it for a moment, then spooned up a bowl of beans and gave it to the customer.

The trucker asked, “What are the beans for, Blondie?”

She replied, “I thought while you were waiting for the flat tires, headlights and running boards, you might as well gas up.”

A little boy and his grandfather are raking leaves in the yard. The little boy finds an earthworm trying to get back into its hole. He says,”Grandpa, I bet I can put that worm back in that hole.” The grandfather replies, “I’ll bet you five dollars you can’t. It’s too wiggly and limp to put back in that little hole.”

The little boy runs into the house and comes back out with a can of hairspray. He sprays the worm until it is straight and stiff as a board, and then he puts the worm back into the hole.

The grandfather hands the little boy five dollars, grabs the hairspray, and runs into the house. Thirty minutes later, the grandfather comes back out and hands the little boy another five dollars. The little boy says,

“Grandpa, you already gave me five dollars.”

The grandfather replies, “I know. That’s from your grandma.
