UMC Men
The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Men’s Cross Country team competed in the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Roy Griak meet on Friday at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights and finished 10th out of 21 teams in the Division II, Division III, NAIA, Tech/Community college teams division. Ten teams from the NSIC were in the field, with the Golden Eagles finishing fifth out of the 10 teams.
The top team overall was Michigan Tech, with 35 points, 65 points better than Minnesota State Mankato, with 100.
The team score is taken from each team’s top five placers (out of seven).
Noah Revels (Jr., Farmington) was the leader for the Golden Eagles and had the highest men’s individual finish in program history in 17th place at a time of 27:07.
Riley Hanson (Jr., Farmington) was second for the Golden Eagle in 56th with a time of 28:06, Bennett Allred (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was next in 87th with a time of 28:31, then it was Aaden Nauman (So., Windom) in 95th with a time of 28:37, Connor Thoennes (Sr., Coleraine) came next in 118th with a time of 29:01 with Zach Hanson (Jr., Farmington) right behind him in 119th with a time of 29:01. Kohen Holcomb (Fr., Marshall) finished 136th with a time of 19:13, Robert Ingle (Jr., Laura, Ohio) was next in 139th at 29:14, Jonathan Roth (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) finished 166th with a time of 29:47, Chase Werner (So., Marshall) finished 176th at 30:02, Lane Hoefs (Jr., Wadena) was 186th with a time of 30:12, and Brayden Paulson (Fr., Little Falls) came in 209th with a time of 31:00.
The Golden Eagles will compete on October 3rd in Colfax, Wisconsin at the Blugold Invitational.

UMC Women
The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Women’s Cross Country team also competed in the University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Roy Griak meet on Friday and finished 11th out of 24 teams in the Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Tech/Community College division. Winona State won the race with easy with individual first, second, and third place for an astounding 27 total points. Another Northern Sun Conference team, Minnesota State Mankato was second place with 66 points.
UMC finished fifth out of the 10 NSIC teams that competed in the meet. Morgan Shaw (Jr., Redmond, Ore.) once again led the way, finishing in 39th, which is the highest Roy Griak individual ranking in program history, with a time of 24:33.
Madison Hilliard (Sr., Jacksonville, N.C.) was next for the Golden Eagles, coming in 44th with a time of 24:44, following her was Natalie Wood (So., Big Timber) in 46 with a time of 24:48, Grace Alwardt (Jr., Lake Elsinore, Calif.) came in at 123rd with a time of 26:22, followed by Caroline Kuehne (So., Long Prairie) in 143rd with a time of 26:43, Amber Collins (Fr., Deer Creek) was in 189th with a time of 27:40, Rivyn Dipadova (Fr., Soldiers Grove, Wis.) finished 211th with a time of 28:15, and Annelise Offerdahl (Fr., Circle Pines) finished 223rd with a time of 29:09.
The Golden Eagles compete again on October 3 in Colfax, Wisconsin for the Blugold Invitational.
