Last week, Celebrate the Young Child Collaborative held its first event of the year! The event was held at Wildwood Park and featured LADYBUGS! Families with children ages birth to age eight were invited to attend and explore the amazing green space, climbing structures, and many activities! There were live ladybugs to hold, tortoises to look at, snacks to eat, ladybug tattoos to wear, bubbles to chase, and much more. It was a beautiful evening, and everyone who attended had fun. Each family took home “The Grouchy Ladybug” by Eric Carle and maybe even a ladybug or two! Thank you to Polk County Public Health, RiverView Health, UMC’s Early Childhood Development Center, Polk County Family Resource Center, Our Savior’s Lutheran School, Crookston Public Schools ECFE, and Leo Club students for their work in making this event possible.
