Crookston City Council to meet on Monday evening

The Crookston City Council will meet Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. in the Crookston City Hall council chambers.

The meeting will start with a presentation regarding bonding for $3.3 million presented by Taylor Wyum of the Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority.

The consent agenda includes the approval of meeting minutes from meetings on October 6, 8, and 13. The council will be asked to approve bills and disbursements for $422,779.62, payment one to Gustafson and Goudge, Inc. for the 2025 airport hangar construction for the Crookston Municipal Airport. Approval of payment two to R.J. Zavoral and Sons, Inc. for the 2024 taxi lane and construction at the Crookston Municipal Airport and operation grant contract for 2026-27, a resolution regarding the Minnesota State Airports fund grant agreement, and a cash farm lease agreement with the University of Minnesota Board of Regents.

The council will hold a public hearing regarding amending an ordinance amending the City of Crookston zoning ordinance, Chapter 152.65.B and Chapter 152.65.E by allowing slaughterhouse in the Heavy Industrial Zone (I-1).

The regular agenda includes the approval of a memorandum of agreement (moa) for applying for the 2025 Minnesota DNR Community Tree Planting grant, the authorization of information technology contracts with Xigent for Virtualization platform and server upgrades, accepting a grant for the Crookston Industrial Park and Innovation Center infrastructure expansion project, and to establish procedures relating to compliance with reimbursement bong regulations under the Internal Revenue code.

The Crookston Ways and Means Committee, originally scheduled for after the City Council meeting has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items.
