Rodrigo Ismael Flores, 30 of Crookston, received a stayed sentence and not have to go to prison as long as he completes seven years of supervised probation. If he doesn’t complete the probation successfully, he would have to serve a three-year sentence less the 113 days he has already served.
The sentence stems from a second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge, which he pleaded guilty to in June of 2025. The incident happened in 2017 and was reported in December of 2024.
Flores’ probation conditions include no contact with the victim, no possession of sexually explicit materials and no contact with minor females. Flores also has to attend a sex offender program and register as a predatory offender.
Flores pleaded guilty to his sole felony charge in June. He was reported in December 2024 and charged in February. A girl alleged that Flores touched her. He denied the allegations before admitting he touched the girl inappropriately, which he felt disgusted by. Flores said he hated himself for what happened.
