Crookston High School students participated in the 2026 Minnesota State High School League Regional Art Festival in Warroad. Crookston artists Wendy Chen, Eric Pierson, Memengwaa Sam, Ella Lerum, Lucas Smith, and Kamryn Proulx received Superior ratings from the judges for their work.
Ella Lerum was awarded the highest honor “Spotlight on the Arts” award for her ceramic piece ‘Vacant Moments.’ Ella’s Spotlight on the Arts Honor will be awarded on May 9 as she qualified for the State Art Festival.
