Margee Keller and Sharon Lanctot of Crookston represent the Nels T Wold Unit #20 American Legion Auxiliary at the 105th State Convention in Wilmar

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Minnesota, held its 105th State Convention at the Wilmar Convention Center, July 10-12, 2025. Auxiliary members from Crookston representing Nels T Wold Unit #20 were Margee Keller and Sharon Lanctot.

Judy Ackerman of Northrop Unit 522, State President, presided. The Honorable Mayor Doug Reese of Wilmar and Northwestern Division, National Vice President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Debra Albers from Nebraska, brought greetings to the convention body.

Special highlights were: The silent auction managed by members Joanie Krantz of Karlstad, Margee Keller and Sharon Lanctot of Crookston raised $3500 for the VA & R program. Program chairmen reported on activities from all Minnesota Units. The Department of Minnesota requested $5.00 dues increase to cover rising costs. The raise was approved by the delegates.

Crookston Unit 20 received Certificates of Merit in Program Areas: Auxiliary Emergency Services, Senior History, Junior Activities, National Security, and VA&R. The 9th District Band performed for the Legion Family on Friday night during the social gathering.

The newly elected officers for the 2025-2026 American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota are Department President Robin Dorf from Monticello Unit 260, 1st Vice President Linda Kelly from Pine Island Unit 184, and 2nd Vice President Jody Hassing from Bloomington Unit 550.

Members of District 9 American Legion Auxiliary representing Moorhead, Waubun, Crookston, Karlstad, Middle River, Clearbrook, Argyle, Red Lake Falls, Warren, Bagley and Detroit Lakes.
