Crookston Girls Golf finishes 2nd at Fergus Falls Invite

The Crookston Pirate Girls Golf team shot a 341 and finished second place out of seven teams at the Fergus Falls Invitational at Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls. Moorhead won the meet with a 331.
Crookston was led by Halle Nicholas with a 77, good for second place. The medalist was Natalie Martin of Park Rapids, with an even-par 72.

CROOKSTON –
Halle Nicholas, a senior, shot a 77 to finish in 2nd place. She recorded two birdies, nine pars, and seven bogies.
Ava Martin, a senior, shot an 80 to finish in 5th place. Ava carded three birdies, seven pars, five bogies, and three double bogies.
Makenna Peterson, a freshman, shot a 91 to finish in 19th place. She had six pars, five bogies, and seven double bogies.
Emelia Hoerner, a senior, shot a 93 to finish in 23rd place. She had five pars, six bogies, six double bogies, and one triple bogey.
Elsie Mathews, an eighth grader, shot a 95 for 27th place. She carded 14 bogies, three double bogies, and one triple bogey.
