The Crookston Pirate Boys Tennis team has two players competing in the finals of the Section 8A Individual Tennis tournament at Choice Fitness in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Reggie Winjum and Grant Funk won their first two matches on Tuesday and then won their semi-final match to advance to the Section Championship for the rights to go to state.
First round – They beat Kameron Price/Dawson Sheridan of TRF 6-0, 6-0.
Quarterfinals – They beat Max Splonskowski/Damarion Moss of Detroit Lakes 7-5, 6-2
Semi-finals – They beat Max Mercil/Bauer Walter 6-2, 6-1
Championship – They are playing Carter LeClair/Marshall Kopp of Minnewaska Area.
